Special Patch Notes

Footnote 1:   1993 Special Fellowship.  In 1992 SE-4 section was dissolved and in 1993 Immokalee lodge became part of the new S4 section.  SE-4 was comprised solely of Georgia lodges while S4 was made up of some Georgia lodges and all but Yustaga of the Florida lodges.  The SE-4 lodges held a "Final Four (SE-4) Fellowship" March 5-7, 1993.  It was hosted by Ini-to lodge 324 at Camp Thunder.  More can be read about this Fellowship in the December, 1992, Owl Hoot which can be found on the Past Owl Hoots page.

Footnote 2:  The Arrowman’s Obligation Award was given to youth scouts who attended the S4 conclave and who participated in certain required events.  There are three known variations.

Footnote 3:

Section Service Fund (SSF)

The proceeds from the sale of the Section Service Fund (SSF) patches and the proceeds from the conclave patch auction go to the Section Service Fund. The SSF is used to provide a grant to one of the S4N lodges each year based on the need and the merit of the camp improvement project.

Past Section Officer Patch

Prior to the 2001 section realignment the Alabama lodges (and Yustaga) were already funding a scholarship for NOAC and High Adventure Trips.  When the sections were realigned in 2001 it was decided to include the past section officers from the three new lodges from Georgia (Immokalee, Alapaha & Pilthlako). At the same time Coosa and Aracoma lodges were assigned to another section but they still participated in the fund.  Thus, the various patches still include Coosa and Aracoma.  All proceeds go to a NOAC and high adventure scholarship fund for scouts.
